I want to welcome you to our blog dedicated to providing an online home for all the Optimist members.
We have tried to provide a "dynamic online experience" that contains current information on our club activities, projects and fund raising efforts. Our site also has pages dedicated to our Club history, the 85th Anniversary, and "What Optimists Do".
I want to thank the efforts of our District Web Services Chair, Opt Gord Welling, who donated many hours of time building our website and writing a "How-to" guide about the entire project. His wisdom is most valuable.
We know there is still more that can be added. If you have any suggestions, I urge you to fill out my online contact form and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
Yours in Optimism
Opt Brian Wallace

Welcome to Our Blog
Hello to all fellow Optimists.
Welcome to the new blog for Edmonton Dinner Optimists. For the time being, we will be focusing on adding news stories from our recent past.
Over the next few weeks, we will be adding additional pages that highlight what we do as optimists, resources for members, and our 85th Anniversary.
We are looking for stories and announcements from any of our members. You can email you content, ideas, suggestions and photos to Opt Brian Wallace or myself, and we will do our best to add them quickly for you.

Highway Clean-up

Our semi annual Highway Cleanup program had a successful session on Saturday Morning October 16, when 10 Optimists (5 from Edmonton Dinner and 5 from Leduc) showed up at 9A when the temperature had dropped to -1c.
As usual they proceeded to our area which is the East ditch of the QEII starting at the Kavanaugh overpass on-ramp and ends 3km North just South of the Weigh Scale. Half started on the South End while the other half started at the North end and they met an hour and a half later and left 15 bags of garbage for the Highways personnel to pick up during the week.
The group then adjourned to Boston Pizza in Leduc for an enjoyable lunch. Many thanks for a successful day go out to Edmonton Dinner Members, John Anderson, Mike Trudeau, Keivin Wallace, Denise Stamp and Doreen Batterham, Leduc members, Shayne Beveridge, Chantell Mihaicheon, Ray and Connie Venturin and Bob Scott.
