April 23 Meeting

Our next meeting on April 23 is a regular meeting and reports will be given on our upcoming spring projects. Also we will have reports on our recent past events such as the casino and zone 5 meeting where Past President Geoff was elected as our Lieutenant Governor for Zone 5. Members who had guests at the NOW Dinner are asked to remind our potential new members of the upcoming meeting. All members are urged to attend this important meeting and please bring a guest, especially a potential new member.

A very successful Casino project was completed on Monday April 16th and Tuesday April 17th/12 with 38 shifts covered by Club members. Many Many Thanks to all of those who participated, it now will fill our Casino account with funds to spend on kids.

Geoff elected for Lt Governor



Congratulations to Optimist Geoff who was elected at today's Zone 5 meeting for the postion of Lt. Governor as of October 1, 2012

About 30 attended the meeting today hosted by the Beverly Optimists.

2012 U-18 Optimist International Juvenile Curling Championships

Congratulation to the BC Girls winning the gold; final score 7-5 over Alberta Girls.




Mississauga/Toronto, ON – Dozens of curlers from around the world will descend upon Mississauga and Toronto for the annual Optimist International U-18 Curling Championships from April 4th through 8th, 2012. These young, highly competitive curlers representing clubs from Canada, the United States and Japan will compete over a five-day tournament in an event dedicated for athletes less than 18 years of age. It provides an opportunity for young athletes to mature and enhance their curling skills in an international junior competition.
