Wolf Point Bus

Hello fellow Optimists,
It is with regret and a very heavy heart that I
must inform you all that the bus to Wolf Point will
be cancelled due to low numbers. We had to
receive 35 passengers, confirmed, and to date we
sit at 21 (2 cancelled a few days ago due to a
scheduling change). I realize this may affect some
of you in a negative way, that is, you may not be
able to go to Wolf Point. I suggest that you try and
car pool within your areas, as best you can, and to
give Governor Glen and his team all the support
you can by still going to Wolf Point!!

So, go out there, and support our youth! Support
Governor Glen and all his efforts to build our District.
I will be returning your cheques, via snail mail, by
the end of this week. The cheques would only have
been processed had the bus trip taken place.
Thank you for giving us (zone 5), the chance to
make the bus trip a go. I am truly sorry that we
couldn't make it a reality.

Yours in Optimism,
Patti Welling
LG Zone 5

Wolf Point, Montana

*********Update**********
It has been decided not to move forward with the bus. Over 20 riders were confirmed but this was not enough to fill this mode of transportation to make it feasible. However: Minivans will be used and this will be a great Optimist event.

*********Update**********

Fellow Optimists.

At our last Zone meeting, we discussed the bus to Wolf Point. To date, only 10 people have confirmed their reservation on that bus to. It is imperative that we strive to get more Optimists to attend the 2nd Quarter Conference and reserve their seat on the bus going to Wolf Point. We are attempting to keep the cost to a minimum of $110 to depart from the Edmonton area.

It is a long journey and you can enjoy the comfort of a bus and save yourself the drive on a cold night. Enjoy the fellowship of other Optimists taking this bus. Food and drinks are permitted on the bus provided you clean up after yourself. To reserve a seat: Anyone wishing to hop on the bus out of the Edmonton area, it will cost you $110. It is imperative that these fees be received at my home no
later than January 23rd in order to reserve your seat on the bus. Please make cheques or money order payable to Patti Welling and mail ...

I would also appreciate a followup email indicating your request to board the Wolf Point bus so I can track the monies as it comes in.
Please contact me by email if you have any questions.

Patti Welling,

District News

First of all I would like to “Congratulate” you all for
helping to make our district move into the plus side.
This is the first time in quite a while that we are at this
stage this time of the year. Please give yourselves and
all of members your club a hearty pat on the back and
keep up with the good work.

We are #5 this week on the leader board and to think
that the increase is due solely with Member retention
as well as new Members being brought in to all of our
clubs. Wait until all of the clubs that we have on the
go come in. Wow and double Wow. This district is on
the way up. It really is nice to see the upward climb
rather than the downward decline. Once again
“Congratulations.”

Governor Nick

thought that that was that. At this years International

to our club and wishes to reestablish contact with us.
